With warm coat and sturdy walking shoes on, it really begins! Schiermonnikoog is a real hiking island. Walking is the perfect way to enjoy the pure, rugged beauty of Schiermonnikoog National Park in the autumn.

Especially for the winter months we have put together a hiking package.

The package includes:

• stay in a cottage, apartment or hotel room
• Boat ticket p.p. for the regular ferry crossing Lauwersoog - Schiermonnikoog
• Bus ticket p.p. (Veerdam - village v.v.)
  (There is connecting bus transportation on the regular ferry service, on the express service there is usually no connecting bus and you will have to arrange other transportation at your own expense).
• Information package including an extensive cycling and walking map, walking route and an islander surprise (1 per booking)

Booking conditions:

• The package price of a vacation home, apartment or hotel room is based on availability
• Excluding any additional costs such as tourist tax , bed linen, etc., these will be indicated during booking if applicable.
• For some vacation homes or apartments you have to provide your own bed linen etc.
• This package is valid for arrivals from Monday 30th October until Wednesday 29th November 2023.
• The travel documents such as boat tickets will be sent approx. 6 weeks before arrival, provided that full payment has been made, for this reason it is not possible to book less than 7 days before arrival.
• Only valid for new bookings made within the promotional period. Already existing reservations are not eligible for this package.

During November hiking month, there is an extensive programme of Dutch-speaking excursions, however, there are also culinary walks that you can walk on your own. A fun route along 5 different restaurants, where you are offered a nibble and a beverage. Book in time because this culinary walk is popular!
