The forest of National Park Schiermonnikoog exists of planted pine trees and naturally developed deciduous forest.
The Salt Marshes of National Park Schiermonnikoog are situated on the Eastside of the island.
On the Southside of national park Schiermonnikoog is “het Wad” located. “Het Wad” is an area of mudflats, this area is exposed when the tide is out.
