Description

De Witte Bezem is a quietly located, semi-detached holiday home set in the dunes. The house is practically and comfortably furnished as a true family home, with pleasant living spaces and everything needed for a relaxing stay, in every season of the year.

Living room
The living room features a round, extendable dining table with four chairs and a seating area with a sofa and two armchairs. Large windows facing south and east provide plenty of natural light. A door with a fly screen gives direct access to the terrace. Facilities include a television, a CD player with a large CD collection and good Wi-Fi, with the option to stream to the available equipment.

Thanks to the efficient heating, an easy-to-use thermostat and double glazing throughout, the house remains warm and comfortable even in autumn and winter.

Kitchen
The kitchen is connected to the living room via an intermediate space, which also serves as a pleasant play area for children. The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner gas hob with extractor hood, an electric oven, a microwave, hot and cold water over a double sink, a small refrigerator, a long worktop and plenty of cupboard space with full inventory.

Bedrooms
One bedroom has a double bed with an extra duvet, its own radiator, a washbasin with cabinet, two wooden chairs, a wall cupboard for guests and a locked private cupboard.

The second bedroom offers two single beds with extra blankets, a radiator, a writing desk, two wooden chairs, a large wardrobe for guests and a locked private cupboard. A foldable baby cot with mattress and boxes of toys are also available here. In addition, four comfortable garden chairs with matching cushions are stored in this room.

Bathroom and utility rooms
The entrance opens into a small hallway with access to the bathroom and the utility room. The bathroom is fitted with a radiator, toilet, washbasin, shower cubicle and electric ventilation.
The separate utility room contains a washing machine, vacuum cleaner, drying rack, high chair, cleaning supplies and a tool cupboard.

Location

Holiday home De Witte Bezem (literally “The White Broom”) is quietly located in the dunes of Schiermonnikoog, in the area known as Klein Zwitserland. Set just behind a high dune, the house enjoys views of the surrounding dune landscape on three sides. Its sheltered position offers plenty of privacy and a real sense of island life.

The terrace and garden face south. On sunny days, it is often possible to sit outside comfortably from early in the year, sometimes even in February. The garden is surrounded by greenery and regularly visited by rabbits, pheasants and a variety of birds. Swallows occasionally nest under the roof, and a large poplar tree at the back of the garden provides welcome shade on warm days.

From the garden, you can walk straight into the dunes. Walks to the lighthouse, a stroll to Westerstrand to enjoy a beautiful sunset, or a visit to the birdwatching hides at Westerplas all start right from the house. The supermarket can be reached by bike in around four minutes, and the wide North Beach in approximately nine minutes.

Thanks to its location, De Witte Bezem is well suited for families, nature lovers and anyone looking for peace, space and outdoor living, in every season of the year.

De Witte Bezem is a cherished family holiday home with a long history. It has been owned by the same family since 1996 and is still enjoyed with great care by several generations. The personal interior, with books, toys and personal belongings, creates a homely atmosphere in which many guests immediately feel at ease and like to return.

The house is sheltered behind a high dune in a quiet, green setting, with views of the surrounding dune landscape. This combination of personal character and a special location makes De Witte Bezem truly unique.
