Holiday farm Springfield is located on the surprising west side of the island, on the edge of the village and nature reserve Westerplas. The Westerplas is one of the most beautiful places on the island where many special (water) birds reside and wild plants grow.
The Westerstrand is within walking distance, but the Badstrand is also easily accessible on foot. From the holiday farm it is approximately 500 meters walk to the center of the village.

Springfield is a genuine farm campsite, affiliated with the Stichting Vrije Recreatie (SVR), where you can camp in harmony with farm life. Don't expect an entertainment team or organized activities, but rather tranquility, birdsong, and the rustling of the trees. Thanks to its small scale and friendly atmosphere, guests quickly feel at home here.
It's the ideal spot for nature lovers, hikers, birdwatchers, and those seeking peace and quiet who want to experience Schiermonnikoog in an authentic way. Thanks to its location away from the hustle and bustle and without electricity at the sites, you can experience a true digital detox here.
For those who don't want to bring too much on holiday, a basic kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator and a gas stove is available for a small fee. Pans and crockery are also provided. Due to its size, only a limited number of people can use the kitchen at any given time, so reservations are required. Use of the key coincides with the length of your stay.

Our campsite is a haven of peace, especially for those who value silence and nature. Noisy youth or groups do not fit the atmosphere we want to offer and are therefore not welcome.
Dogs are welcome, provided they are well-behaved, calm, and do not cause any nuisance to other guests. Dogs must always be kept on a leash on the premises. To maintain the peaceful atmosphere, dogs are only allowed in limited numbers and only by prior arrangement.
Please indicate the size of your tent when booking using the options.
As we have limited space for tents, we kindly ask you to bring a tent that matches the number of people sleeping in it. Preferably no 4- or 5-person tent for just 2 people. If you're unsure or planning a longer stay, feel free to contact us in advance.
