Huize Anagber is situated in an exceptional location at the end of the Badweg, just 50 metres from the beach crossing and 1.5 km from the charming village centre of Schiermonnikoog. This makes the holiday home the perfect base for both peace and adventure.
Thanks to its unique location on a dune, you can not only enjoy a beautiful view of the North Sea from the house, but also watch the sun rise above the dunes and the forest and set in the horizon of the sea. The beach is just a few minutes' walk away, ideal for a morning walk or sunbathing and playing in the sea during a fun day at the beach with the family. In addition, the nearby activity beach is perfect for a day of sports, there are various options such as beach golf, kite flying, blow karting, supping, bodyboarding and surf rafting. Or just watch someone else being enthusiastic.
The area surrounding the holiday home offers plenty of opportunities for cycling, walking and exploring the island's natural beauty, with various walking and cycling routes starting directly from the holiday home. Specialties
Anagber was originally built in 1917 as Villa Josanna on the Schiermonnikoog boulevard, approximately 300 meters north of its current location. The wall anchors in the facade still commemorate the house's construction year.
Due to the erosion of the north side of the island, the boulevard disappeared into the North Sea. The original beach hotel was effectively destroyed by the sea. To save Villa Josanna—as well as the nearby Villa Opduin—the house was demolished and rebuilt. Since 1920, the house has stood south of Badweg, and Opduin (since 1922) north of Badweg.
