Description

Samar was built in the early 1900s and completely renovated, preserving its charm and authenticity. The house is comfortably furnished and equipped with every luxury and convenience.

The living room features a gas fireplace, a large LCD TV (including Netflix), and a stereo system. There is a wide selection of games, books, and magazines. Internet access is also available. The original beamed ceiling, the fireplace, and the furnishings create a warm and homely atmosphere.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and refrigerator with freezer compartment. A washing machine and dryer are located in the utility room. The bathroom has underfloor heating, a walk-in shower, a wall-hung toilet, and a vanity unit.

The Atelier is accessible via the utility room. This is furnished as a large, inviting living room with a dining table, a spacious sofa, a comfortable armchair, and a wood-burning stove. The Atelier also has a second bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, and sink. Upstairs, under the old trusses, are three bedrooms:

Outside

The large garden is a wonderful place to relax and offers plenty of privacy. There are several terraces and seating areas where you can sunbathe, barbecue in the shade of the large tree, or enjoy drinks in the charming pavilion. Luggage can also be stored in the pavilion. There is a playhouse for children.

Samar is a detached house with Het Atelier attached, the former studio of the well-known Schiermonnikoog artist Minne Onnes. Het Atelier is directly connected to Samar via an internal door and forms a charming extension of the house.
